Tomato Soup

TOMATO SOUP

 

Ingredients

  • 1 yellow onion peeled and chopped roughly

  • 4 cloves of coarse chopped garlic

  • 2 grossly hatched carrots

  • 2 grossly hatched celery branches

  • A large butter or olive oil (in the equivalent)

  • 8 cups of tomatoes, monds or 2 boxes (28 oz.) of Italian tomatoes

  • 1 tsp tomato paste

  • 4 cups chicken broth

  • 2 laurel leaves

  • ½ tsp of oregano

  • ½ tsp of chervil tea

  • ¼ tsp basil tea

  • ¼ tsp of thyme

  • Salt and pepper

  • 2 c. In soup of fresh chives

 

Preparation

  1. In a saucepan, wait for onion, garlic, carrots and celery in butter.

  2. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, broth and seasonings. Allow simmering until carrots are tender.

  3. Reduce the mixture into purée with the blender arm. Add broth as needed.

  4. Garnish with chives or fresh basil and croutons and then serve.
