Matcha is the Japanese method of producing a fine ground powder from specially grown tea leaves.
To become Matcha, the green tea is shaded in the weeks before harvesting. This slows its growth and results in an increased concentration of antioxidants and amino acids, particularly a higher theanine content. When we drink Matcha, we ingest the entire tea leaf and therefore drinking one cup of Matcha green tea has as much nutritional content as 10 cups of regular green tea and over 100 times its antioxidants! No wonder the Japanese and Chinese have been boosting their immune systems by drinking matcha green tea for over 1500 years.
Organic Matcha green tea powder
Mix one scoop in 1/2 to 1 teaspoon in a yogurt, a glass of cold water, a juice or the drink of your choice. Adjust the quantity to your taste. Mix vigorously and enjoy. Store in a cool, dry place. Keep out of reach of children.
