Why green antioxidants?

Plants make antioxidants to protect themselves from the ultraviolet rays to which they are constantly subjected during photosynthesis.

These antioxidants play two roles in plants:

  • that of a solar filter and
  • of antioxidant with respect to radical free produced by radiation.

As we easily digest plants, polyphenols, flavonoids, carotenoids, the various minerals they contain (magnesium, calcium, sodium, potassium, iron) as well as their vitamins (C, B9, beta-carotenes, E...) are directly assimilated by our body.

Thus, we take advantage of these antioxidants, but also of the benefits of chlorophyll.
This green pigment, often presented as the blood of the plant, has many characteristics:

  • it decreases acidity (alkalinizing), increases cell oxygenation, fights germs, deodorizes, promotes the healing of skin and mucous membranes, blocks carcinogens at the intestinal level without counting its fantastic properties détoxifiantes.

When the body detoxifies, the liver is put to the test. Many free radicals are produced by toxic substances that the body tries to eliminate. In these circumstances, it is essential to have good amounts of antioxidants.

Some detoxification methods that do not include the consumption of food supplements do not make it possible to make the most of an in-depth clean-up of the organism. It is essential to ensure a significant contribution

  • there vitamin C, vitamin E, beta-carotene and selenium.

Thanks to these antioxidant substances, free radicals are blocked and detoxification takes place without problems.

This is another of the many reasons why antioxidants are really essential substances.


Some researchers have argued that consuming large amounts of a specific antioxidant can reduce the amount of other antioxidants in the body. A study involving 500 people has shown that such a situation does not exist. These individuals were given high amounts of beta-carotene and then the amounts of vitamin E they had in their blood were measured. These quantities have not been reduced.

It is fortunate that this is the case since by consuming good amounts of different antioxidants, we can prevent several health disorders, especially different ones. cancers and cardiovascular diseases.
